the exception of the road race oil pan & matching pump. Headers
of any type will be allowed. Merge Collectors of any
brand or type are NOT allowed, however.
Any
motor may be run with any body, HOWEVER, the series request
that you run a motor that corresponds to the appropriate manufacturer
(style) of the car, (i.e.: Dodge motor, Intrepid body, Ford
Motor, Taurus body). This is to enhance our ability
to attract sponsorship from the various primary and secondary
manufacturers of parts and supplies for the various marques.
These
motors will be allowed until at least the end of the 2010
season, which will allow competitors the ability to utilize
them for 5 full seasons. Post race weights may be raised or
lowered for specific engines as necessary to regulate equality
All
current ZZ4 355 HP motors will be grand fathered and will
continue to be allowed as long as they are available at the
current weight restrictions.
Please
check with Dave Arnheiter or Steve Carvajal regarding the
purchase of oil pans and pumps prior to purchase. At
this time, no dry sump systems or external wet sump systems
are allowable. Engines
matching the above specifications and part numbers are allowable
for the remainder of the 2004 season
